There are 11 japanese sunken warships from 2nd world war. But you can also rent a small boat to make excursions to Twin blue Lagoon, Blue Lagoon, Barracuda Lake, CYC Island and Kayangan.
Below a photo from Blue Lagoon .. dont miss it !!

You can take a look at CoronWrecks.com (http://www.coronwrecks.com/) for some more informations, but you should be an experienced diver before starting this adventure.

Wow. Paradise. Hmm I heard Palawan has an underground river there. And I believe it was one of the World Heritage site by UNESCO. What part of Palawan would that be?

I've just searched some places to stay in Coron, keeping in mind the pocket :p
Sea Dive Resort (http://www.seadiveresort.com)free wi-fi at the resort. It has basic accomodations that won't hurt your budget.
El Rio Y Mar Resort (http://www.elrioymar.com)
another pleasant resort with great service and good food
Mt. Tapyas Hotel (http://www.corontrips.com/mt_tapyas_hotel.htm) has its own shuttle for airport transfers FOR FREE. It's non beachfront though, but it has a great view.

Hi Esembrano,
I havent heard any sightings of sharks around Coron in the past many years! In fact I didnt see any sharks when I lived there 20 years ago, I used to sail between the islands of Busuanga, Coron, Culion, Bulalacao, Linapacan, El Nido down to Liminangcong, Buayan etc. There were a few fishermen catching shark for their fins and they had to fish far from shore because there were no more sharks near shore. (I think it is banned to fish for sharks now.)
Do visit Coron and you will see the amazing beauty of the place. The famous sites (CYC, Banul beach, Twin Lagoon, Barracuda Lake, Kayangan Lake, Siete Pecados, Makinit hot spring, Mt Tapyas) are within a 30 minute radius from town so they are very accessible and safe waters.
Cheers!

Hi everyone. Coron was simply stunning, and the visit was really affordable. It was a memorable trip because of all the planning and misadventures that I went through to make that trip a reality that I simply had to document it in my blog (http://wandererwanderlust.blogspot.com). Hopefully, this can help other travellers avoid the mistakes that I made and can have a stress-free trip :)

I booked a flight to Busuanga for October and currently working on my itinerary based on information I gathered from other forum - accommodation, island hopping, budget, etc. As soon as I have finalized it, I'll post here.
Initial info I can share: I was able to get a round trip fare of P985 net via Cebu Pacific's on-going promo.
