We, Filipinos are known for our distinct creativity. We are very popular in the export industry almost in every part of the world. what have you got in mind that distinctly say "it's made in the Philippines!"?

For me, those bottles with miniature house or boat inside the bottle easily reminds me that it's locally made.

Mind to share?:)

1. Rattan-made products. Filipinos use this plant to make bags, baskets, chairs, etc. It is very common in some provinces. But now, Rattan is overexploited and needs to be restored.

2. Barong. I think Barong is originally made in the Philippines.

3. Raw shells. They're not really made but they're from the Philippines. Shells are commonly sold in beaches and some commercial stores.

4. Wood jewelries. I have heard of wood jewelries that are handmade. They're good and very creative.

Is "Maid in the Philippines" a good label? Perhaps when we think of quality service that would be a good label. We are known throughout the domestic help world as clean and orderly.

Brasswares such as gongs, and other percussion instruments are beautiful in Mindanao. People in Mindanao are considered the first smiths in the Philippines. They are sold at a high cost but they are wonderful if used as decoration. :D
