well, don't know if this would be any help but the first and last time i went to hundred islands 4 yrs ago was disappointing. we drove from baguio but if you're coming from manila, i think they have victory liner buses from manila-hundred islands. we didn't find a good accomodation near the marina so i suggest you must make a good research of possible places to stay before going there. i guess i'm just so used to going to a place and find everything within reach. the marina was not even that attractive (hope it's changed). we didn't go see the islands anymore, and turned back looking for a more exotic beach resort somewhere in pangasinan but the trip just ended up wasted.
i hope we just had a bad day and things are different now. it's just that i'm not really sure if a trip to 100 islands is really worth it unless you know anyone from that place who can really show you around. and i can't think of any other activities after you've seen the islands.
hope anyone can else can help us here. who knows i might go back there again.

As I have researched, there are only three islands among the hundred islands that actually have accommodations. But one can also bring camping stuffs like tent, food, etc. There is a fee of 100 pesos for camping
1. Governor's island
- Costs 10,000php/night.
- Has major resort facilities i.e. kitchen, bathroom, bedroom
- Limited supply of water (1 drum, i think)
- Generator-assisted electricity
2. Children's island
- Costs less than 1000php for overnight
- No electricity (light is supplied via car battery)
- No water supply
- No restaurant
3. Quezon island (most popular)
- Costs 900php for overnight (quite expensive for a hut)
- Nipa Hut style (some have bedrooms, some don't)
- No water supply
- No electricity (light is supplied via car battery)
- No restaurant, just a mini sari-sari store

hmm... i guess it hasn't really changed since the last time i checked those things out. maybe if you're that type of traveler who's willing to try everything. the hundred island adventure could be worth giving a try. thanks purpleaf.
maybe one useful advice to would be travelers to hundred islands is not to expect first class amenities but a lonely planet kind of adventure :)

No problem. It's just that, as kids, the HUndred Islands is one of the things our country boasts about, right? Perhaps a day trip to this place, like island hopping? Then just get accomodations to the city proper or go to Manaoag.

Island hopping is still the best activity here, purpleaf posting regarding accomodations for those 3 islands were correct. I've been there last march, the beaches are still nice, specially in the Quezon island. There is a covered swimming area near the Taklobo(Giant Clam) Marine Sanctuary. Your cover basically the island itself, your under the island. :D

we never get to count the islands. But it's really fun to go to the islands then take a good swim. We used the sands here for skin scrub (just for fun):)

Cool! This is nice to know. Island as your cover? hmm..ingtriguing! Haha! So Php 900 for overnight in Quezon island, right? Would you say an overnight stay would be enough? Any other suggestions?
