It sure looks like it! :)
Pristine and secluded, the beach of Anawangin Cove is fast becoming a popular tourist destination near the Subic, Zambales area. Surrounded by pine trees and carpeted by volcanic white sand from Mt. Pinatubo's eruption, Anawangin cove looks like a winter scene in the tropics. The sands are very fine and the beach is wide. During low tide, the beachfront becomes longer and the waters are calm, making it ideal for swimming. It's Boracay meets Baguio ;-)

To reach Anawangin you have to ride a Bangka in Pundakit going to Anawangin. Pundakit is in San Antonio Zambales, the best thing about the place is there's a lot of beach resorts to choose from, some offer different amenities like some have swimming pools but most of them are the same, prices range are different depending on the type of house or room you are getting but no worries they are affordable and reasonable and the best part is prices are negotiable.

Anawangin is a haven who likes to rough it up. There are no luxury spots on the island. Just sand, sea and you. Even bathrooms are hard to find. But the place is so worth the headache!!!! It's really beautiful.

I love to go back to Anawangin before the summer ends, But the "bangkeros" charge too much for a ride.

This is just one of the best beaches i attended.
How to go the place?
you need to go to san antonio, zambales, Pundaquit. If you're not fond of living in a tent in Anawangin, there are several resorts in Pundaquit to choose from. Nora's resort and Wild Rose BEach resort to name a few. Just send me PM for their contact #'s.

Wow! The beach is sooo beautiful! From Manila, is there a bus line that goes to San Antonio? And from there it's a boat ride, did I get it right? How much would be the budget?

Victory Lines do.
Just let the driver drop you in san antonio town. From san antonio, you need to ride in a tricycle ( that cost P40/pax) and tell the driver Pundaquit.
You have an option, you can book a resort in pundaquit for your overnight stay then you can just rent a boat going to Anawangin--you need not to be in anawangin overnight. Well for the boat ride, we rented it for 800 for 4 pax.
Or if you like, you can rent a tent( from the bangkeros) for your over night stay in anawangin island. Travel time from Pundaquit to Anawangin is approximately 30 min only.

From Manila, you can go to Pasay/Cubao/Caloocan to ride bus to Olongapo City. From there you can ride another bus to San Antonio. It is definitely a good place to go to. I lived in San Marcelino, city before San Antonio. I grew up there and it's definitely a good place to go to.

The beaches in Zambales are really awesome. My family and I used to go to any of the beaches there sometimes no entrance fee, sometimes only 10pesosto get in. Then you can just set up your own camp so you don't need to pay for a cottage. Love to explore my hometown. =)

we just had our company outing there, the company shouldered the Bus rental, 1,500 - 2000 MAX budget to be safe.. BTW we bought our own food. the place is so remote everything is expensive and you won't see stores around.
remind me to post pics of this place, I'm kinda busy these days hehe..

Thanks for posting the pictures! It looks sooo beautiful. I've seen pictures from my friend's camera taken when she was underwater. I thought that it was Boracay because of the clear blue green waters, and she told me it was from Anawangin Cove in Zambales. I do hope that I get to visit it in the upcoming long weekends ahead.
