I was just invited tonight by my friends to join them in an island hopping on Sunday but so sad that it falls on a tree planting activity with some of my former high school classmates. I know I will miss the fun of hopping from one island to another to see different wonderful sights of every island that we’re supposed to see. In Cebu, I guess there are a couple of different Island Hopping trips to choose from which usually begins off of the southeastern coast of Mactan Island and will take us to some of the smaller islands to the south and east of Mactan. Among those islands to choose from is Olango Island, which is famous for its Bird Sanctuary. :) The other island that I’m interested to see is Nalusuan Island. I have heard about these two islands from some of my friends but I have never been there. Anyone have done island hopping here? Is it not scary to ride in an out-riggered boats? They said, these are the kind of boats to ride to go island hopping. I have never been island hopping. :o

One of the best experiences Cebu has to offer is its ISLAND HOPPING activity and water-based adventures such as scuba diving, snorkeling and fish feeding.

Islands Banca Cruises endeavors to raise the ante of an already existing industry and making it truly world-class by providing first-rate activities for a premiere tourist destination such as Cebu

I want the fish feeding......this is the only activity I can do. Scuba diving and snorkeling? Those are for the experts!

don't worry, snorkeling can be done even if you're not an expert. :) and before diving, there will be lessons for safety and precaution. :)

With what you've said, I can remember what my scuba diver friend once told me as he was inviting me to witness a wedding under the water. I was scared of the invitation and I said how can I witness such when I don't know how to swim at all. He said I still can go under the water even if I don't know how as there are some experts to give us lessons how to use the diving gadgets and they are there as expert divers to assist me under the water. ............I said I will think about it. And that was years ago....Until now, I'm still into thinking, LOL!:D. I still stand for the fish feeding!

uhm, how much would be the cost of a cruise? I've read before that it's good for 10 persons already, right?

The rate per person depends on how many persons involved in the island hopping (to islands of Hilutungan & Nalusuan). This is a 6 hour trip then.
If you say 10, then it's going to be P1,696.00 per person. There will be a hotel pick up and drop off using an airconditioned van.

Inclusions:

Island Entrance fees of Hilutungan & Nalusuan
Private Motorized Boat Ride
Complete Snorkel Sets
BBQ Lunch with Fruit Desserts
Private Driver & Boatman

wooot. You can enjoy snorkeling even if you're not an expert and then fish feeding at the same time. You only have to have the snorkeling gear and life jacket. And voila, you can be like a pro.

Scuba diving is a different story but you can do it with proper assistance and facility.

I agree, one of the best

Island hopping in Honda Bay-Palawan is i think the best so far

Snake Island, LuLI Island, Starfish Island, and a lot more. This is the best snorkeling area as well. If you're fond of snorkeling and snorkeling, this the best place to be.

They had as rent the snorkle gear so I would suggest travelers to bring your own. I couldnt find a good fit.

I believe its safe. They all have the facilities to accommodate children for snorkeling (as far as Honda Bay in palawan is concern) and i did encounter children with that range 4-10 do snorkeling but with the supervision of the experts.

It definitely is. Whatever is your point of origin, I'm sure there is an island hopping activity waiting to happen.

When you're in:
Mactan (Cebu) - sulupa, hilutungan, nalusuan, caohagan, panganan, olango, pandanon
Panglao (Bohol) - pamilacan, balicasag, snake
Pansukian (Siargao) - naked island, dacu, guyam, twin islands, caub island

There are offers of island hopping around Boracay Island.

Island Hopping Tour
Banca Ride back - P50
Snorkling fee - P20
Entrace fee for Crystal Cove - P100

THen you'll get to see some corals underwater and Crocodile Island and Puca Beach.

Island hopping around Boracay would be fun if the currents are not too strong. One time we were very scared because the waves were to high and the boat had to stop to another island and wait for the waves to go down before we were able to go back to Bora. Nevertheless, it was fun. :)

http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:hsBBfqT-cdwTnM:http://www.cebu-hotels.com/philippines/cebu2.jpg..A very good tourist destination is Mactan Island in Cebu, Surrounded by beaches and small Islands Which is now developed for Bird sanctuary and marine life preservation,.The Island's diving spots are well maintained by scuba divers associations, who's members often came from other countries, these people show their interest on preserving the marine life by implementing rules on garbage disposal and proper fishing method, the said rules and programs are well supported by the government and other private sectors who in their small ways shows concerns on nature.

I would love to island hop at the Island Garden City of Samal. It is located at the center of Davao Gulf composed of nine islets. You will be captivated by the coastlines stretching at 118 kilometers of white sand.

The island offers Sanipaan Shoal, a vanishing island because the sand bar appears during low tide but submerges during high tide. Imagine a moonlit night or perhaps a sunny day for leisure and you would feel that time stand still and you can't avoid the ethereal feeling of being marooned in the high seas, until the reality of the high tide setting in would awaken your senses.

Discover the underwater treasures of Samal at Talikun and Ligid Islands. No, these are not treasures of gold and silver that pirates might have buried or hidden into a sunken ship. I'm referring to the natural marine life treasures that these locations offer to diving and snorkeling enthusiasts.
