View Full Version : Hiking anyone?
Interesting site.
We're from the coast so I'm not looking for more water to see.
Does the Philippines have any hiking spots?

Yeah, actually. Sagada, Mt.Province is a good hiking spot.

You can go trekking to the 3 adjacent provinces of Benguet, Mountain Province, and Ifugao Province, they are known for their majestic mountains.
Among the popular destinations that you will see include Sagada Cave, Mt. Ampacad, Lake Panum, Bontoc, Banaue Rice Terraces, View Point, Batad Rice Terraces, Tappya Falls and Mt. Data

I suggest Osmeņa Peak which is located in Mantalongon and is considered the highest peak in Southern Cebu. When at the top of the mountain you can see the whole of Mantalongon and you can also enjoy the fog. Please click on the following link to see some pictures of the said peak.

You can also climb Mt. Manunggal in Cebu, and see the crash site of Pres. Magsaysay. Climbers and nature-enthusiasts annually go camping there during the anniversary of the crash. It would be like a fellowship of campers. :)

As I was reading your posting regarding Sagada, I had thought and wished that John has read that nice post about Sagada to answer his question on some hiking spots. That was really a nice clear posting about the place.

From Mantalongon, it takes more than an hour to get to Osmena Peak. Because of its multiple rough, sharp notches, it looks like Chocolate Hills in Bohol but these are more thinner and sharper pointed peaks.

They have some hiking at the mountain, and also some legend behind them! ohh also theres a school near here so you cant really argue might check out some gurls while your checking the scene!
After hiking theres alot of hot springs around that you can take the gurls or just for relaxation!

Hiking reminds me of Tanay, Rizal. However, I could not say much about other places. My sister recommends Sagada and she sure had a great time there.
