Safe and enjoyable whitewater rafting has never been this accessible. Jumpoff area is within city limits and just less than an hour from urban Cagayan de Oro. And at the disembarkation point, a fresh shower and clean comfort and changing rooms are available for the guests' convenience.

White water rafting is an extreme sport, but with utmost safety precautions, it can be taken by almost everybody. Of course it helps if you work out a bit before plunging down the river. :)

It is fun! I've tried it, and it was so exhilarating! It wasn't dangerous though. You have train professionals there on the boat with you and as long as you hold on tight to your boat, you're as good as a-okay!

This was taken last summer. When you go river rafting there are different levels you can take. For beginners there is Level One. It takes about half a day to finish the ride. The last level is Level Three. You start off at the top of the mountain and make your way down, crossing about twenty or so rapids as you go.
There is a Level Five, but I'm told it's found in Manila where you have to let the raft fall off a the waterfall.....and then you jump over it. Lol :D

Definitely want to try white water rafting! I'm eyeing a group called Kagay for it.
Anybody have any recommendations on where to stay? I'm looking for an inexpensive place to stay - as long as it's clean and has a working bathroom, I'll be happy. We just need a place to stash our belongings in before we throw ourselves down waterfalls.:rolleyes:

The closest inn I know of that's close to DVsoria (the place where you would meet the jeeps that would take you to the rafting site) would be the Lamar Inn. It's right in front of the oldest hotel in Cagayan de Oro, the VIP Hotel.

I just love white water rafting. I've been there once with my classmates during our tour and I'm planning to go back there with my gf. We had fun even if it was just a beginner. The next time I'll do the advance. hehe

I guess you'll float. You have a life vest on so it wouldn't be dangerous....but if you fell off during a rapid, as long as there aren't any big rocks to hit you, you'll be fine. Plus there will be professionals to save you.:D

Is it safe for people with high blood pressure problem? My mother wanted to try this but I am not sure if it would be fine for her.
