We were there in December 2008, and it was really beautiful. If you have spare time, do go to Blue Lagoon instead of Saud Beach. Saud Beach is also nice but Blue lagoon is like a virgin island. It's so beautiful!!! We went there in the midst of a storm so the skies look very dark and the waves are kind of violent. hehe But it was all worth it!

Wow. It's beautiful! Except for the fact that waves in those pictures could take you out anytime. lol.Where is it located btw?

Pagudpud is in Ilocos Norte. :) Yes, those waves are cruel in some sort. haha but don't worry, it was stormy when we went there. The waves are pretty much calmer in summer. :)

ye, December 08 was stormy & stuff. Beaches tend to get rough -_-
I hope to get there this summer. There are so many places I wanna visit.haha. What's the budget?

November to January is rainy season at
pagudpud.
June, July is typhoon months for pagudpud.
Summer and October is the best time to go to pagudpud.

Our budget was about 5k, all in including promo airfare from PAL. :)

From experience, it is true. The waves were so big!!!! And you can barely get out because it's so cold.

Hmmm yes it is possible. We paid 250 pesos for a 30-minute tricycle ride! The ride was long but it was all worth it. :)

don't worry, when we went there, a storm was brewing. But we went anyway. On normal days, the waters are very calm. :)

Just don't go there when there's a storm. It will be a rough adventure. But if you guys liek it that way, then Pagudpud will give you a run for your money! lol

purpleaf accessible naman sa bus, but if your going to Ilocos its good to have your own car instead of commute in bus para mas marami kang mapuntahan sa Ilocos Sur to Norte.

is blue lagoon different from maira-ira beach resort? my friend said one shouldn't miss it. argh! too bad it's already the rainy season. maybe i'll plan for this for next year...or sem break. is it safe to go there on October?

Blue Lagoon Beach is in Maira-ira vicinity. :) So yes, technically "the same."

We've always joked about this. It's Pagudpud because you're PAGUD na (tired), PUDpud pa ang puwet (flattened behind from sitting too long) because of the looooooooonnnngggggg drive.

We were there during the windiest time ever.. January. It looked like a depressed area because the treets were without leaves and there were so many things that were swept to shore. But I think during hot seasons that's an awsome place to be. :D

I've been to pagudpod before but it was a long time ago already. That place is really beautiful and what's great about the place is that its far from the hustle and bustle of manila. The water's clear and not polluted and the sights are truly marvelous. You must see it for yourself. By the way its almost 16 hour trip from manila to pagudpod but its worth it!:)

If you visit NORTH, try to be as patient as you can. I know travel time will consume much of your time but its worth it. I grew in ilocos so i know some pretty much places that tourists like the most
