Whats the peek season for traveling to Cebu

I love traveling but I sure dont enjoy getting crowded with different travelers.

I think Cebu has always been packed with travellers since it is one of the most festive cities here in the Philippines. I would suggest that rather than avoiding packs of travellers you should try to befriend them and go around early January since the Sinulog festival really brings in a lot of tourists in the area at that time.:)

The Sinulog festival is the most awaited event in Cebu. It's falls on the third Sunday of January. Aside from the Sinulog mardi gras, visitors come to Cebu during the summer months of April to May because of the beautiful beaches like Bantayan Island, Malapascua, Camotes, Badian and Moalboal.

But if you prefer to visit Cebu during regular months, I suggest you come on June to August where the weather is not too wet and too hot.

Sinulog is really the best festival! It's the only time of the year that we cebuanos can go wild out on the streets!hahaha:D

Yea, Sinulog is really the best and most-awaited festival in Cebu. People just flock to Cebu like it's mardi gras haven. You'll be surprised Cebuanos and tourists united and partying on the streets. At night, there is always the expected million-peso fireworks display at Ayala or in the Cebu City Sports Complex. If you have experienced being in Cebu during Sinulog, you'll always miss it and come back every year. Love it! :)

Yoh my advice go to the outskirts. Palawan or go swim with the whales in Sorsogon. Better than watching the Sea World show in America.

I'm in Cali right now & I think Cebu people party harder than California people, & Cebuanos don't even patronize X! ye!

If you are trying to avoid getting crowded with different travellers in coming to Cebu, then I will advise you not to come in January because it's the month for the Sinulog Festival and as expected this festivity draws a lot of tourists and most hotels are usually fully booked during this month. And of course, don't come in summer which falls between April & May because we got nice beach resorts here in the place, so, you'll get caught up in a crowd of beach goers. But if want to experience some great fun with people, then come on, you must travel to our beautiful Cebu. Don't miss it!:)

I agree! I go to Cebu almost every semester break because I have friends there and, man, can they party!

Cebu has a very distinct culture that you should experience, and Cebuanos are very proud of their heritage, yet they are grounded and they love to enjoy life! :)

@jbrayos - Difference is Cebu has baby traffic compared to Manilas' & that's a great thing.
