We headed to Palawan last time due to a story about the hundred Islands being trashed. Anyone been there recently?

This is in Pangasinan right? Ye, I haven't heard of any promotion about that paradise lately. We should promote this place coz truely it's an amazing place. http://joyful-ep.jp/assistant-blog/Romelyn/uploaded_images/hundred-774022.jpg
Yea, that's definitely a paradise. Not sure about it being trashed though.:o

I don't think it's trashed.. the Department of Tourism won't allow it for sure.
It's still a sight to behold if you go to Pangasinan.

Are there fun activities that you could do in the Hundred Islands? :)

Some of the activities to do when visiting the Hundred Islands include snorkeling, island hopping, swimming and fishing. But some islands are off limits for activities to protect the environment. You can also go spelunking, parasailing, sun bathing, jet skiing, kayaking, diving, banana boat ride, birdwatching.

Just sitting under a tree & listening to the waves as they crash the shore & looking at those islands, that'd be something to do for me

How much time does it take for a boat to reach one island from the other?

Punta Riviera at Bolinao, Pangasinan
The resort is rather new, it just opened to the public in 2005. It has a well manicured lawn and very pleasant staff. Rooms are elegant with a queen size bed, a satellite TV and DVD player, and a shower that looked like one from a Jimmy Neutron or Jetson’s episode. There are some family rooms and dorm-type rooms too.
The resort has a bar and restaurant. There’s a nice 2-level pergola for a nice dinner by candlelight.

I guess this (http://www.puntarivieraresort.com/home.html) is the Punta Riviera website. This is the link (http://www.puntarivieraresort.com/accommodation.html) to their accomodation photos.

I think mas malayo ang Bolinao to 100 islands, its almost an hour drive going to Bolinao. 100 Islands still a good place to visit, some of the islands are being protected. Kung hindi ka naman masyadong maselan you can camp to one of the island na open for public but you need to bring lots of potable water. :)

My in laws went there a week before Typhoon Emong hit Pangasinan. They stayed at the Children's island where the kids enjoyed the beach so much because of the white sand and shallow waters. They didn't stay long though for security reasons. The locals has yet to develop the island's facilities to be able to attract tourists...=(
