Howbout introducing ourselves? :)
I guess I can start, I’m Gabe your community host. I was born and raised in Baguio City and currently residing in the U.S. I’m currently working in the IT industry so it gets really boring stuck in a room with computers and geeks. I enjoy traveling, one of my favorite spots is Palawan and I’m looking forward for more trips to that region. If you ever make it to Baguio and have extra days to spend, try to head up north to Sagada or Bontoc. I won’t go into the details what Sagada or Bontoc has to offer but I assure you it will be an awesome experience. The Banaue Rice Terraces is a Philippine pride and considered a World Heritage site but for travelers who are always on the go like I am, try visiting the rice terraces of Kapangan.
Hope to read more and learn from everyone in here!
Hi Tom here! From Washington, I have been to Korea, Japan and Taiwan. Some friends recomended the Philippines so Im hoping to get some insights here.

Hi, I'm Manix from Manila. Traveling comes naturally for me because my parents hail from 2 different parts of the country. My affinity with the Visayas is more than your typical tourist because I frequent this island at least twice a year. This is where my mother's from. I grew up knowing the first family (Marcos) as if they live next door. I found out later in life that this is because my father is a 2nd cousin... So it goes without saying that my father is from the North. I've travelled there countless times but never really had a grip on the dialect. The entire country is "my home" since I've gone from one corner to the other. Well, almost. I haven't gone to the Babuyan Islands and Jolo.
Hello everyone I'm Jill Vesoza. We immigrated to the U.S. when I was 14 years old. Its been awhile since I have been back home, I'd like to take my kids for a trip sometime. The Philippine eagle picture attracted my 10 year old son so hoping to bring him to see some eagles anytime soon.

Hello! Kamusta (how are you)? This is Purpleaf. I was born and raised in Manila, capital city of the Philippines. My mother is from Pampanga and my father is from Nueva Ecija, both are in Luzon - so most of my journeys are in the northern part of the Philippines. But now I get to explore the southern part since I get to earn my own money...and I am quite old enough to do so, to! As I get to travel, I realize more and more how beautiful the Philippines is. I would like to explore more about the country before I even head outside of the country. If you need some infos around Manila, you can just PM me. Better yet if you'll be coming over to the country soon and you need a travel bud, let me know!
I'm Ed from Florida, married to a beatiful Filipina. I have visited some parts of the Philippines like Pampanga, Baguio and Ilocos. I have some mobility problems but working to get better so I can visit more spots in the Philippines.
Maybe retire there.
I enjoy reading your posts they are informative!

Hi everyone. I grew up in Metro Manila. My father is from Antique and my mother is from Mindoro. My family look forward to vacations. I personally believe that traveling is a means to learn new things. Mostly, my travels were sponsored by family members. Now that I'm starting to earn my own money, I would like to allot a part of my budget for travels.

hey what's up everybody?
I go by the name of SARAWI. I'm half waray half tausug. I basically grew up in VizMin - my paps was in the Army so we moved a lot. We moved in different places within Samar, Leyte, Cebu & Zamboanga. I can speak fluent chavacano, cebuano, waray & tagalog, I can understand a little bit of tausug & yakan.
I consider Zamboanga as my homeland. I love Philippines especially Mindanao - specially Zamboanga City.
I currently reside here in Cali, but I go to school in Cebu.
Cebu is an awesome place & Explorephilippines community showed even more of it's beauty.
More power to this site & the community - see you in the forums - better yet - see you somewhere in the P.I.
peace!

Well how's it going everyone, my name is Chris and I'm 24 years old. I was born in NY, and grew up in a combination of states. From New York, to Connecticut, to Florida, all in a different order no less. Enough about me though, I am really interested in visiting the Philippines!
I have friends that tell me nothing but good things about the islands, plus what I have read here really makes me want to visit. I've never seen some of the birds native to the islands anywhere else and I'm a bit of a wild life buff.
Well from what I've seen, heard, and read, I'm definitely going to be looking forward to visiting the Philippines! :)
:) Welcome guys its pretty cool to learn about people from different places, interesting travel stories.

Hi to all! I'm Socci.
I grew up in Laguna, moved to manila and now living in Makati. My medicine for stress is vacation!:) . I always like to travel but airfares are expensive for me so I resort to travel by land: Batangas, Bataan, Pampanga, Zambales, Nueva Ecija etc.... but that was then, now I have the money :D and airlines have discounted seats (thank god!;) ) so I can travel as far as Davao, Cagayan de Oro and the latest is Siquijor. I realize that instead of spending my money in clothes/bags/shoes.. I should invest it for my travel needs.
My aim is to be able to visit at least one province in every region!

Hi everyone! I'm ada_ordinaryo. My life's basically, well, ordinary. I didn't get to travel much when I was a kid because I threw up on the way (Byahilo and Byasuka).
When I came of age, i still didn't get around that much except for a few priviledged company trips during the time I was employed.
Now, I'm happily married with two kids. I plan to go travelling as soon as my youngest becomes a year old.
For now, I'll get some ideas from this site and you guy and gals as to where I should go.
Chillax everyone.
Welcome everyone. Its interesting to read all your contributions!

Hi Im Benz, Living and Working in Makati. Raised in Batac City Ilocos Norte but took my education in Manila (UST) and eventually settled here in Makati. My Dad is an ilokano and my Mom is a cebuana. That was actually the reason why i started travelling. Since my mom loves to go to her hometown, Cebu, i had the opportunity to explore the Visayas Region. I started to love travelling since i was in HS. At my age of 24, i was able to explore most parts of the country from Luzon to Mindanao. I also tried other countries but Philippines is just too good to ignore.
i already visited Palawan, Polilio island, pagudpud, cebu, bohol, Clark, davao, cagayan de oro- camiguin, caramoan island an bicol areaa, Vigan, Pangasinan, Aurora, Mindoro, Negros, Pundaquit, anawangin island, tagaytay etc. And Philippinnes is just a God's gift to everyone. Looking forward to see Batanes island next year.

Wow. I'm proud Pinay from Metro Manila. Born and raised just in MM. I started traveling around the country when I was six. I have been to many places in the north but I never had time to enjoy the South. It's very good to be here in a forum like this. :)
