You have to take a plane to Cagayan De Oro, then from there, there's a boat ride going to Camiguin island.

Have heard a lot about this Camiguin Island from my daughter who had visited this place with her mom-in-law. Of course, I'm gonna find out myself how nice the place is. Sure, it's going be a lot of nice sceneries.

Camiguin is truly an island get-away. You would not find a lot of people crowding in their beaches and you could have the island all to yourself if you travel during off-season.

I've been to Camiguin and my most favorite place there was the hot and cold springs...and the sunken cemetery. One of the best things there is the lanzones. The Lanzones Festival was the bomb!

The people from Camiguin believe that partying at night there though is forbidden because the volcanoes might get angry. Its wonderful, really, hearing stories and legends like that.

I’ve never been to Mindanao and Camiguin is the first one on my list once I head down south! It was featured once in Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho and I was soooo enticed. So...from Manila I have to take a plane to Cagayan de Oro and from there it’s a boat ride away? How long would the boat ride take? Approximate budget?

stella

I think it would take about 30 minutes to an hour to get to Camiguin. Not sure about the budget though. I live in Cagayan so, it's a short run for me than for you to get there...

I read somewhere that it would be nice to spend a day in Cagayan de Oro before heading to Camiguin. So how accessible is Camiguin from CDO? Any recommendations? Thanks!
