The Aguman Sanduk festival is celebrated in the afternoon of January 1. While the rest of the country takes a break from the previous night’'s New Year revelry, in the town of Minalin there’s no one to catch the boys and men of this sleepy fishing town wear their mother’'s lipstick and put on their wive’s dresses.:p LOL

I personally feel that this is a genuine cultural heritage that gives vindication to the Kapampangan's oft-frowned upon character of arrogance and snobbishness. This celebration is a form of liberation from gender discrimination and repression...which one wouldn't expect from Kapampangans. Bravo!

I'd like to see it happen. I think I'd be laughing my butt off seeing the men where feminine stuff! It's held every afternoon of Januray 1. This is probably the only place in the where real men wear woman's clothing and still retain their manly dignity. Lol.:D

What does 'aguman sanduk' mean?
