Hi Stella! =)
Yup, I've seen the commercial. I think they are referring to El Nido, Palawan. =)

I've seen some pics of my cousins trip to el nido...wow..it looks so amazing.. i really want to go there someday when i save enough money. The resorts look so expensive.. nice but not within a student's budget.
Any of you know of cheaper accomodations there?

Lally and Abet Beach Resort in El Nido, Palawan costs about 5,280 for 3D/2N accomodation for a fan room on holiday season. Take note it's PER PERSON rate. It's one of the well-established resorts there. Here's a link (http://www.alltravelpalawan.com/resorts/elnido/lallyandabeth/index.htm) for more information.
There's Dolarog Beach Resort. It's peaceful and secluded. They serve Italian food, give tours, and offer diving as well. The cheapest rate is about 3,200 per person per night on a Garden Room (fan room).

For a specialty lodging, there's Las Cabanas Beach Resort. It's about 3km south of El Nido. As for the rates based on their website, "double occupancy is P4,200 per person per day including taxes and including three daily meals chosen by each guest from an extensive menu which includes seafoods, meats, vegetables, curries, etc. One cottage is smaller and goes for P3,900 per person per day based on double occupancy. Single occupancy is additional P1,800 per day. Group discounts are negotiable depending on the length of the stay. Half price for children aged 5-12 staying with parents. Airport pickup is a total of P500 for two persons.
For a minimum stay of 3 nights, we offer 1 free of charge island hopping excursion.
Rates include accommodation and three daily meals and exclude drinks, island hopping, snorkeling equipment, kayak rental, trekking guide, etc. Diving is available on request with an El Nido dive shop picking up divers at the resort."

Another one would be Marina Garden. It has basic accomodation at El Nido Town. However, I'm not sure if they accept credit cards as of now.

No problem! I think among your top three picks, El Nido is the most costly one. But if it's with your loved one, it's surely worth it!
