I've been here before when I was in high school. I can say that this cave is the pride of Cagayan as well as Cagayan river. It's majestic, this is one of the best spot I've seen in North Luzon.

How many hours will it take to get to Cagayan from Manila?

I think it will take you half a day. It would be better if you leave here in Manila at night. There are also regular flights Manila-Tuguegarao.
How much would a round trip ticket cost from Manila?

If you plan to go to Cagayan by land you can take Florida bus choose the Super Executive bus it is very convenient even you are travelling 12hours :)

What's the difference between the "super executive" bus to the ordinary aircon bus?

ordinary Aircon bus has no Comfort Room while Super Executive feels newer and much much comfortable compare to ordinary bus..

Cagayan is a few hours from my hometown in Nueva Vizcaya. I want to visit this cave too. Are you from there? Is there a hotel that you may recommend?

Wow! My husband is from Nueva Vizcaya too. How far is Cagayan from Nueva Vizcaya. We usually visit mom in Bayombong.

If you've got money to burn and really want a memorable trip, I suggest you guys rent a van and get a driver to bring you to Cagayan. You get to see some of the sites even before you reach Cagayan.
The Callao Caves in Cagayan is simply stunning! Went there with the whole Art History class. It's got 7 chambers if i remember right. The more deeper you go into the connecting caves the darker it gets. I was only brave enough to reach the 3rd chamber. LOL.
It's one place to be when you visit Cagayan.
