That depends what airport is it the one in Manila?
From manila its 4-6 hours depending on what time of the day.

The airport in Baguio is zero minutes the moment you land you are already there but I heard the airport is closed for commercial use.

And talking about Baguio, what are the best places to visit and the hotels you could recommend. How about the budget? What was that famous park again where you could ride horses?

The tourist spots in Baguio are:

Burnham Park

Baguio Cathedral

Session Road

Camp John Hay

Mines View Park

The Mansion

Baguio Botanical Garden

The Orchidarium

Maryknoll Ecological Sanctuary

Tam-Awan Village

Itogon Wood Carver's Village

Asin Hot Springs

and

Wright Park (This is the horseback-riding place i think)

If you have a big budget, then Baguio Country Club's the place to go. Though, there are dorm type rooms you can rent for like 350/head/night

Baguio City is about 240 kilometers from Manila.
By private transport, the trip to Baguio from Manila usually takes just 4 - 5 hours during the day, and sometimes less at night.

4-5 hours without the traffic.. Add in the traffic and it'll probably take like 6-7 hours. Worth the trip though:D

Speaking of a trip to Baguio, I'm planning to do that. I can remember when my auntie used to stay there for some years as she was teaching in one of the schools there. My daughter went there twice; the first trip was with her mom-in-law; and the second time was during the latest 'Panagbenga Festival"...did I say it right? The second trip was with her husband and her two year old son. They had great pictures taken and so much fun, too. Can somebody tell me how to get there? I will be taking a Cebu-Manila flight so that I need to know where to go as soon as I get out of the airport. My daughter is kind of busy to tell me how.

How's the Meningococcemia case there now? There never was any confirmation about that "epidemic". Believe it or not, the ex-mayor of Baguio City warned the tourists against going up there just so he can get the 12M calamity fund being offered by the government. It's a good thing the greedy trapo lost during his re-election!
Anyway, Baguio is as safe as any other city. Besides, one can only get sick from Meningococcemia after being exposed to an infected person for prolonged number of hours, and in closed quarters at that. Meaning, little to no air circulating.

Take a cab ride (about 10mins w/ traffic) to the terminal and you'll find buses waiting to take you to Baguio City. ;)

Okay, thanks for the info. But will the taxi cab driver charge us by taxi meter or by arranged rate? And how much will the Victory Liner bus fare would be?

Well, that's right. It's not the meningococcemia but it's the newest of them all...h1N1 virus that we have to stay away from. Got to take care of ourselves not to catch the virus.

The meningo and swine flu are all hyped by the media. Trust me in my traveling there are far dangerous activities that has more fatalities like swimming, rock climbing, sky diving or alcohol poisoning.

Heck, I just know it's less than $10/person. ;)

In my opinion, the travel to Baguio is good, since you could enjoy the scenery as you went along. And about the H1N1 case, DOH assured everyone that Philippines is still H1N1 free, and there were no cases being reported.

Its a good place to go especially when its really hot. Like nowadays.

I think the airport in baguio is not accepting passengers. The last time we went there, my mom said that the airport is not as active as it used to be.
